However, not even all these changes could save Mark from the audience’s reaction, and after creative differences with the writers, Schneider left Parks & Recreation and Mark was given a job away from the Parks Department. Leslie was also reportedly changed after those test-screenings, though it’s unknown exactly how and what changed, but it wouldn’t be surprising if she was originally more intense, to the point of annoying the audience.
